Le Sel et le Miel a commencé le 5 avril 1994 au théâtre Trévise à Paris. Ce spectacle a été créé par Bernard Bitan et Laurent Bentata dans une colonie de vacance pour sensibiliser les enfants à l’histoire d’Israël, du sionisme et de la mémoire. C’est cette même bande d’animateurs-amateurs qui fera le tour de la France dans les plus prestigieux théâtre de France de Suisse et de Belgique pour terminer à L’Olympia à Paris en 2005. Le Sel et le Miel a été traduit en plusieurs langues et a été présenté à Los Angeles, Philadelphie, et New York, par un cast Américain. Le Sel et le Miel a été l’un des spectacles officiels des 60 ans d’Israel à Jérusalem interprété par un orchestre symphonique et un casting de stars internationales du Musical. Il se remonte en 2018 en Israël en Hebreu avec un cast Israélien pour 2 représentations exceptionnelles.

Les animateurs-acteurs amateurs de 1994 sont toujours amis et inséparables depuis plus de 30 ans.Marco Gaon est le seul à avoir joué son rôle dans toutes les versions depuis le Théâtre Trévise. Laurent Bentata est aujourd’hui le directeur général de Stage Entertainment France, directeur du Théâtre Mogador à Paris. C’est l’un des producteurs les plus influents en France. Bernard Bitan habite en Israël et devient l’un des acteurs et metteurs en scène les plus actifs du théâtre franco-israélien. Artiste et sioniste militant, il s’est fixé pour mission de jouer et diffuser le message du Sel et le Miel dans le monde entier.

Salt and Honey began on April 5, 1994 at the Théâtre Treviso in Paris. This show was created by Bernard Bitan and Laurent Bentata in a holiday colony to raise awareness of the history of Israel, Zionism and memory. This same group of amateur animators will tour France in the most prestigious theatre of France in Switzerland and Belgium to finish at L'Olympia in Paris in 2005. Salt and Honey has been translated into several languages and was presented in Los Angeles, Philadelphia and New York by an American cast. Salt and Honey was one of the official performances of Israel’s 60th anniversary in Jerusalem performed by a symphony orchestra and a casting of international Musical stars. He goes back to 2018 in Israel in Hebrew with an Israeli cast for 2 exceptional performances.
